Kaizo is a word like “jazz”, and a very personal art to me, in which I’m always trying to push the boundary of what is physically possible. The hacks I make are explorations and self-expressions. Some I’ve made with other players’ experiences in mind, and some I’ve made simply to test my own skills and limits. I don’t make these to torture others, or because I am at all masochistic. I simply enjoy the beautiful gameplay that can be achieved. I take a lot of inspiration from Bruce Lee, Frank Zappa, Rodney Mullen, Buckethead, Mitch Hedburg, and Mat Brinkman. Even though their works have been in different art forms, they have all influenced my creative process in Kaizo.
